Viking's professional-style residential range concept began in the early 1980s when Fred Carl, Jr. set out to create the type of commercial-inspired range he wanted for his own home. Viking Range was incorporated in 1984, a prototype received American Gas Association approval in 1986, and the first production Viking ranges began shipping in January 1987. Viking is widely associated with pioneering the commercial-style residential range category.
Viking later brought manufacturing into Greenwood, Mississippi, producing its first Viking-manufactured rangetop there in 1989 and moving range production fully in-house by 1990. Viking later became part of a broader luxury residential appliance portfolio while continuing to operate from Greenwood.
Appliance Crew is an independent appliance repair company. Our technicians are experienced with Viking residential ranges, ovens, cooktops, rangetops, refrigeration, wine-storage appliances, dishwashers and dedicated ice machines, and manufacturer technical resources may be consulted when appropriate for the specific model.
Viking has produced multiple generations of residential cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing, wine-storage and ice-making appliances. Service availability depends on the appliance type, exact model, condition and replacement-parts availability.

Replacement parts are sourced based on the exact model, repair requirements and current availability in the United States.
5 Series side-by-side refrigeration, 3 Series French-door products, VEIL™ integrated refrigeration and earlier Viking models use different cooling and control systems.
The model and serial number help identify the exact Viking appliance, product generation, technical documentation and available replacement-part options.
Integrated refrigerator/freezer ice makers and dedicated Clear, Nugget and Craft Ice machines use different architectures and service requirements.
Many Viking refrigeration, dishwasher and cooking products are installed into cabinetry or use decorative panels. Finished surfaces and surrounding cabinetry are handled with care when appliance access is required.
The appliance is diagnosed first, the price is provided before work begins, and no repair starts without your approval.
Call, text or book online. If available, provide the Viking appliance type, model number, serial number, displayed error or connected-app message if any, and the symptom you are experiencing.
The technician evaluates the appliance and the conditions relevant to the reported problem before recommending repair work.
The repair price is provided before work begins. If no repair is performed, the service call is $69 residential or $129 commercial. A Viking professional-style range installed in a home is a residential service call.
If you approve the repair, the service call and diagnostic are waived. Where appropriate, appliance operation is checked after repair work is completed. Qualifying repairs include a 90-day parts and labor warranty.
